Change is happening all around us and it is inevitable. I would like the opportunity to be part of the growth and development in Milton by helping to ensure that it is done with the careful thought and consideration it deserves.
I bring a unique perspective to town government. As a parent, homeowner, local business owner, and longtime resident of Milton, I have many of the same struggles and concerns as my neighbors.
During my last three years on the Planning Board, I have helped increase housing opportunities by approving a new 36 unit building at Winter Valley, permitting new businesses like the Gardener School on Blue Hill Ave, and helping create climate initiatives by being the Planning Board's representative to the Climate Action Planning Committee.
Our townspeople deserve to know how bylaws affect them in an easy to understand, truthful, and transparent process.
In the past, I heard that some zoning proposals seem rushed and reckless. My goal and responsibility is to publicly discuss all the impacts a zoning change potentially will have on our town services, including those affecting the school, fire, police, traffic and on the budget.
I’m running for re-election because I would like the opportunity to continue to move Milton forward in a positive direction and in a deliberate manner.
My goal is to try to strike a balance between the need for reasonable development and the wellbeing of neighbors. I have the courage to make tough decisions and will hold the common good above any personal benefit.
